DoReMii Blog Graphics--We want you!

We are putting out a call to all you amazing people who are excellent at graphics.

DoReMii is in need of a new blog banner(s) and we thought we'd invite our viewers to take a crack at making some for us.

The requirements are:
The image must be 1050(w) x 300(h) pixels (like our current one featuring Du Chun & Xue Jia Ning)
Those featured must be from one of our past or present drama projects. (preferably present)
They can be from a Mainland or a Taiwanese drama. (no japanese dramas please)
"DoReMii Fansubs" must appear in visible text on the header.

We will be taking submissions for the next couple of months and depending on the number of submissions, the first round of voting will take place in two weeks time. We'll most likely change the header every one or two months.

Send your submissions in either a zip or rar file as an email attachment (the graphics file must be either png or jpg format plus the psd file) to doremiifansubs@gmail.com with the title "Blog Header Submissions". Like wise if you have a question you can email us.

Also at the moment we are currently seeding the Life Stories Series so grab 'em while they are seeded!

SubbeDrama Blog

Today we would like to officially announce the opening of a companion blog to DoReMii.

SubbeDrama Blog~!

The idea of this blog is for us to share dramas we happen to have but have not subbed. What this means is... these are dramas that we have purchased for our own enjoyment in Chinatown and online, or have downloaded on some obscure website. These dramas came with ENGLISH SUBTITLES, but are not bootlegs, fansubs or western region DVDs. Most of our DVDs come from Malaysia, Hong Kong, or China with subtitles and are posted (mostly) as-is. We occasionally may choose to do minor editing and typesetting, but the subtitles are usually perfectly coherent from the source.

So far we have begun to rip and upload these awesome dramas:

• Lucky Days (Taiwan)
• The Mysteries of Love (Hong Kong)
• The Fierce Wife (Taiwan)
• Roseate-Love (Taiwan)
• Justice for Love (Taiwan)

Note: Yes, this is why we chose to drop the projects Lucky Days and Roseate-Love. Why waste our time subbing dramas that already have subs we can share?

It's time for us to announce some of the new projects we will be doing.

About Distribution

I can't believe I need to talk about this AGAIN. Can no one honestly email us and wait 3 days before posting download links of our releases? pure laziness. Not to mention re-encoding our releases? Please PLEASE don't re-encode ANY of our releases. If you are going to distribute our projects please distribute AS-IS. Just follow below and you won't hear any complaints from us.

1. Please do not upload our fansubs to any kind of streaming website.
2. DoReMii members will be uploading our releases to jdramas lj.
3. Please let us know (doremiifansubs@gmail.com) if you'd like to share links of our Fansubs on other websites before posting them and credit us and link back to our blog at http://doremiiscale.blogspot.com
4. Wait 72 hours/3 days after release before posting those links.
5. Please don't upload your own encodings or edits of our fansubs.

Seriously. Just. Don't. Do. It.

and no we don't release softsubs.

Admin Post

As you have all noticed lately we haven't been releasing as many projects. This is due to it being the end of the year, and the school study season so many of our members are busy with exams and such. Alot of you should know how this feels >.<

Please have patience! Even though things are slow we are trying our best to release what we can.

For those of you waiting for DWL particulary, have patience! You guys want it finished right? We want to finish it even more than you do!

Also for those of you who have been asking for direct downloads, don't. We will post them when we are ready to. You ask, we'll probably delay. Asking for or demading new episodes of a series isn't very helpful either, it only serves to makes us cranky and unhappy.

About Releases

As you have all probably noticed lately, the amount of releases in the last few months have decreased. These few months in the year are the busiest time for students. Quite a large number of our members are students, so releases of our various dramas will slow down and which series episodes are released when becomes even more random than usual.

We just wanted to give you all a heads up as to what's been happening.

As for the final two "I Want to Become a Hard Persimmon" episodes, yes they are being worked on but we aren't too sure yet when they will be ready for release.

Re-seeding Requests

If you are in need of a re-seed for a torrent, the best place to request is in the d-addicts seeding and upload requests forum. Please don't request seeds in comments on the blog as generally we won't be able to help you that much, and the community at d-addicts is much larger, therefore more people are likely to read the request. We also have a broken links page to report broken links on etc, so please post comments there rather than on a drama projects page.

OMG what happened to DoReMii!?!

We got a makeover!
What's up with that?

Well it's kind of a funny story... While we regularly change our skin, DoReMii has had the same layout format for 3 years (mostly because Puppet is too lazy to rewrite all that code very often... and the style just worked). Well we (we = Resie) finally got sick of it in the middle of Puppet's two weeks of midterms and whined until Puppet caved and started redesigning the whole thing. Okay okay, before Resie kills me I should clarify... while that story is true, it's not the only reason for the revamp. It's something we have been meaning to do and it symbolizes a philosophical change in DoReMii's mission statement. Which is...

While we love Taiwan, we are tired of it getting allll the attention. DoReMii loves all of China, not just the little island in the south. Though it is no fan's fault, most of you automatically think anything Chinese is from Taiwan and don't even know that the rest of China has something to offer. Since we realize this is a sad fact we have the power to change, we have begun a little project of love that we call the Mainland Movement (learn more about it here). In partnership with Cfensi we are working to bring more Mainland music videos and dramas (as well as information) to the fansubbing community. If you have paid attention to our upcoming project page recently you would have noticed the increased amount of modern Mainland China dramas we will be subbing. Most of these are dramas that we have already seen, loved, and wanted to share their awesomeness. We hope everyone will support and enjoy the Mainland Movement. And don't start freaking out, we WILL still be subbing Taiwanese dramas we like too.

Back to the new look...
Our recent releases sidebar is now that sexy new slider on the left, clicking the images will still take you to the project page, and we have added a number of new pages to the site. The most notable being the Ask a Question page, for when your particular problem just doesn't seem to be part of the FAQ, and a page for reporting broken DDL links, both can be found under "help" in the new menu. The blogs search feature has also been enhanced and the page index is now numbered with a slider.

That sexy adorable man in the banner is Li Yi-Feng (李易峰), also sometimes known as Mr. Child. He is a Mainland idol. He is a singer and actor who is very famous and talented. He is in season two of Prince of Tennis and has the supporting male role in our upcoming Mainland drama project "Happy and Love Forever" where it is impossible not to love him. You will learn about him more later though. ；P

Down with Love Updates

1) We have decided that we will be using the CTV version (specifically Hliang rips).
We will only be releasing hardsubs .

2) The hour and a half running time seems to be permanent. So lets hope we don't kill ourselves. *Is trying really hard not to cry. lol*
