Kim said...: Try downloading the combined community codec (search in google then download). Then you will have zoom player and windows media classic.. i use zoom player.. hehe anyway make sure the srt and the video is the same name... (change it if it isnt... except dont erase the .srt just the name like put them both as why why love 1) and then open the video with zoom player.. it will automatically detect the subtitles if they are on the same folder with the same name.. have u combined the files?; June 21, 2007 1:52 PM
Anonymous said...: If you can't see the subs it's probably because the file is still in .rm mode and not .rmvb mode. It's a real easy fix though so don't worry. In whatever folder you have the file in go to Tools->Folder Options->View then uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types"->Apply->Okay. Now go to the file name and put the .rmvb at the end and go back and change your folder back the way it was.; June 21, 2007 8:21 PM

To join the parts on veoh you need vdub mod. Load the first video, go to file> append seg, load the next part, repeat until all the parts are in line, then set to direct stream copy and save as.; July 3, 2007 8:45 AM

Did you try changing the aspect ratio on your DVD player? It should resize the image so the edges don't get cut off. WWL is wide screen so maybe try the 16:9 ratio.; July 9, 2007 9:55 AM

^ IFS will be helping Doremii in doing the BTS for ep 2 & other episodes if needed, since Doremii has more projects they have to handle.

Hey, at least they spend their spare-time to sub for us this drama. Okay, it's possible that IFS finishes earlier the 5th episode. And what's the problem with it? Then you can watch the fifth one and after the fourth episode. You had better to be happy that you can watch WWL with english sub.
Otherwise, have a time, have a KIT-KAT, and learn taiwanese!!!

If so, I think that it would be easy to get a few volunteers (I would be willing to help) to figure out when each person speaks... even though I'd have no clue how to get the text in the picture.

The same question goes for editing (if you have already answered similar questions, my bad, just point me in the right direction), i.e. is it just English sentence structure/grammar/spelling that you look at, or do you need to know a bit of mardarin/whatever they speak? If it's just general English knowledge, I could probably help once a week just editing because I am a native English-speaker and I'd be happy to help when I can.

Patience is a virtue that some apparently lack, but I guess it's kind of understandable if you really love this series; the impatience I think you guysinderstand, it's probably the nagging you dislike, ne?

Anyway (long-ish post), thanks for the subs, and I'd appreciate if you could answer my questions, thanks!

@Kristin - hard subs are the ones that are imbedded into the video (so that you can upload them as one file; these are the ones you see on veoh/youtube when dramas are subbed)and soft subs contain the actual text for the subs in different files that have to be joined (can't think of a better word right now) through another program before you can watch. I think even Angel Lover has a viet version. I think we have the same number of, if not more, viet translators as we do mandarin translators.

And how can I take such idiotic come-backs to heart? I have a much thicker skin then that, but thank you for the concern. To be honest, I have a reputation in my family for loving to argue. Even when I've already won the argument I still keep it up. lol My aunt tells me I probably should have become a lawyer... eh, to many dead languages for my taste.
